Pre-Tan Prep Tips

Exfoliate Your Skin Thoroughly
Focus on dry areas like elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists. This creates a smooth canvas for even color.

Shave or Wax
Complete all hair removal prior to your appointment. Ideally, 24 hours in advance will allow pores to close and avoid irritation.

Avoid Heavy Products
Start minimizing lotions, oils, and body products that can build up on the skin the day before.

The Day of Your Appointment

Arrive with Clean, Bare Skin
No lotion, oil, perfume, deodorant, or makeup

Do Not Apply Deodorant
This can cause discoloration under the arms

Wear Loose Clothing
Your tan is still developing and can crease with tight fabrics

Bring flip flops or slides
To avoid rubbing or sweating in tight shoes

What to Wear During Your Tan

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in:
• Undergarments
• Swimwear
• Or nothing at all (completely optional, common, and always professional)

Avoid Before Your Appointment

No bar soaps (can leave residue)
No Dove products or heavy moisturizing washes
No oils or oil-based scrubs
No lotions or perfumes day-of
